Art Therapy

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy uses art-making as a way to express ourselves and discover meaning without having to use words! As we let our creative selves explore different media and tools, we find wisdom and answers from within.

Do I have to be an artist to benefit from Art Therapy?

Nope! It is usually easier to get into if you’re not a fine artist because the flow and healing happen naturally when you aren’t trying to create something specific to sell, hang on a wall, or put in a gallery. There aren’t rules or right or wrong with art therapy so many people find it refreshing to engage in and heal from past ‘art trauma’ they may have had in school or art class.

Kim Grantier incorporates art therapy into her sessions.
