On the outside, you may seem capable, responsible, even high-achieving. Inside, you might feel anxious, irritable, withdrawn, or quietly convinced you’re not enough. You replay conversations, hold yourself to impossible standards, or shut down when overwhelmed. As a parent, you may wonder if your teen is experiencing any of this.
Some teens and young adults can clearly name painful or confusing experiences in their past. Others have simply learned to survive by overperforming, staying composed, or taking care of everyone else. Whether rooted in relational trauma or years of internal pressure, the result is often the same: exhaustion, self-criticism, and a nervous system that rarely feels calm.
For young adults, this often intensifies during major transitions—leaving home, navigating college or early career stress, managing new relationships, or questioning identity and direction. What once worked to keep you safe may now feel isolating or unsustainable.
I specialize in trauma-focused therapy for teens and young adults (ages 13-40) navigating anxiety and perfectionism shaped by early relational experiences. Using EMDR, Internal Family Systems–informed parts work, and somatic approaches, I help clients move beyond coping toward meaningful, lasting change.
If you’re a teen or young adult, this is a space where your voice matters.
If you’re a parent wondering, “Are they actually okay?” you don’t have to sit with that uncertainty alone. I offer steady collaboration and thoughtful communication throughout the process.
Outside of therapy, I value time with my partner, friends, and family; trying new foods at local restaurants or experimenting with new recipes; spending time outdoors, traveling; and playing with my tuxedo kitty.
You don’t have to keep holding it all together by yourself.
