Online and in-person therapy in St.Paul, MN
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or aren't quite sure how to put what you're experiencing into words. Ellie creates a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are, feel genuinely heard and understood, and explore what is going on beneath the surface.
Ellie takes a relational and person-centered approach to therapy, approaching clients with curiosity, authenticity, and compassion. She believes therapy is collaborative and that each person's experiences, needs, strengths, and goals are unique. She values building a genuine therapeutic relationship and believes there can be room for both difficult conversations and moments of humor along the way.
Ellie works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and attachment concerns, self-esteem challenges, identity development, life transitions, and the effects of difficult or painful past experiences. She is particularly interested in helping clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the patterns that may be impacting their emotions, relationships, and everyday lives.
Above all, Ellie believes you are the expert on your own life. She hopes to walk alongside you as you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and work toward changes that feel meaningful to you.
Ellie is currently completing her Master's degree in Counseling and Psychological Services at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and provides services under clinical supervision of Crystal Vilen.
